Last Thursday was one of the funnest date nights we've had in a while! We decided to go out and splurge a little. We went to the Red Iguana, love that place! It is always really busy but the wait is worth it, the food is delicious.
After we took a walk since it was such a nice day. We walked off some of that food! Laid in the grass and talked about random things, and held hands, feeling how we did when we first met = )Then we went to Leatherby's to get ice cream. I wanted a small fudge sundae and when I asked how big the Marion Fudge Sundae was, the server made it sound like it was a good medium sized sundae. When they brought it out it was almost as big as that banana split we ate a while ago!!! (its on an earlier post) There was no way I was eating that entire thing alone! I was already so full from dinner. While we ate our ice cream we played thumb wars (cause we're cool like that) and the servers there were just smiling and laughing at us. It was highly fun and entertaining just playing thumb wars! Ryan kept cheating, but I couldn't beat him anyways so it was all good fun.At the end of the night Ryan gave me a branch of little flowers = ) its hard to see in the picture but they are so pretty and it was a cute gesture.
I sure do love date night.
So I know I haven't blogged in a while. Nothing way exciting has been going on for me to blog or not anything that involves pictures. But I figured I'd give everyone an update in case they're wondering what's going on in my world lol.Life is good, just really busy like always. I'm busy with work, and I'm preparing myself to start college at the end of May (hopefully things work out). I've been going over to my grandmother's house and typing up family history. It's really interesting to read and it's always fun to go over and visit with my grandma, and I always leave with a full belly! = )We also finally got our taxes done yay! Our first year filing as married = ) I'm just glad we got that done and over with. Also we are filing a law suit against someone I'm looking forward to that muahaha. LOL. It's been exciting getting all the information together and I can't wait for the whole thing to be over with in our favor, (well lets hope, it better, I have faith.)At the moment my current frustration is work. I work 4 10's, Wednesday through Saturday 4:30am-3:00pm. My boss informed me on Wednesday that I have to change my schedule to 7 on/7 off or switch departments, although he said it in somewhat nicer terms. I'm extremely frustrated because he mentioned it to the night technician a few months ago, and has just barely told me, and said that I have two weeks to make my decision. I have a hard time waking up at 3 in the morning for four days straight, I can't imagine doing that for seven days in a row! Especially since I'll be going to night school, so I will get less sleep than I do now! Which is only about 4-5 hours ISH. A week off would be nice for school and so I can spend time with Ryan, but the week on would be crazy!!! Then again if I stay on 4 10's I will only have a 3-day weekend which I'll probably use up studying and doing homeowork and have no time for Ryan or my family. But then again I am only doing my generals so school won't be that hard. PLUS I'm supposed to get a promotion in July, and I really love my lab and what I do, and I'll be demoted for two months of I switch labs. We wrote down a pro's and con's list but it didn't help too much. So I'm really upset that I have to either transfer or make life extremely hard for myself!!! I'm in a rut I don't know what to do! Decisions, decisions. They are so hard to make yet we make so many choices a day without even thinking. Now I'm stuck on what to do.Other than this little bit of frustration, life is good like always. My dad's birthday was on Friday, hooray dad, although he doesn't like to celebrate lol. I think he had a good birthday. The baseball season has begun so the boys have started practicing. I will need to put a few pictures of them playing, they are so cute. Cherisse is a cute little teenager. She's very dedicated to her homework and studies I'm so proud of her. And Jessica is graduating soon!!! I'm so excited for her too. it is so hard to believe how fast they're growing up.Well thats about it. Nothing real special and exciting about this month. Just that its been a good one. Until next time...
Last Saturday morning Kristy Batemen, age 18 died in a car accident. I went to high school with her. I knew of her, but we were not close friends.Last Saturday night, my friend Jesse Fankhouser age 19 got hit by a car, was had a seizure and was life flighted to the hospital. He has some brain damage, quite a bit of memory loss and horrible road rash. I'm grateful he is okay and that it wasn't any worse.Last Wednesday Afternoon, my best friend Loren Waters Age 19 (This happened the day before her 19th birthday) was attending Snow College. She got in a car accident, the total impact of the accident was 140 miles per hour. Her seat belt and air bag saved her. She is extremely lucky to be alive. God was with her that day. Her wheel well broke her foot and ankle in three different places, her steering wheel was close to her foot as well, her dashboard was a foot away from her. I am very grateful she lived. I prayed and thanked God for keeping her safe.Last Friday Morning, two sisters, Micah (21) and Shilo (19) Edwards, (two friends of mine from Jr. high and High School. Also attending Snow College, rooming together) Slid on black ice and into oncoming traffic. They were both killed instantly. They had been on their way home so Shilo and her Fiance could pick out an engagement ring. I attended their funeral yesterday. It was amazing how many people came to celebrate the lives of these two girls. They had touched the lives of many, many people. They will be missed by many.My friend Loren actually got in an accident in the exact same place the Edwards girls did, just two days before, and it wasn't because of the weather. Monday my family's beloved cat Licorice was hit by a car and killed. She was our cat for 11 years!! Such a sweet cat she was. She will be very missed.I'm grateful my other two friends are okay. My heart is broken for the families of the girls who have been taken away from this life. Although they are now in a better place and have no worries like we do. I pray those families can heal and get through these trying times in one piece.
The Consumer Holiday=Valentines Day =P (well its true!)Ryan and I weren't going to go out, especially since we did Christmas presents, and then our Anniversary last month. And we both see Valentines Day as just a consumer holiday. Nonetheless we ended up going out with my friend AJ and his girlfriend Kat. It was the Sweethearts dance at Kat's school, and since AJ will be joining the Marines before her Prom, he was taking her to Sweethearts as if it was the Prom. She is new to her school this year and she wasn't looking forward to going to the dance, plus she had no group or anything so she didn't think they'd have much fun. I told her to go to the dance for an hour or so, and then to meet up with me and Ryan and we'd go out to dinner. I also let her borrow a dress. So I got all dressed up and ready to go out to a nice dinner. =DWe met up at Gateway and we picked Biaggi's Italian Restaurant to eat at. It was delicious! We got appetizers, soup, our main course, and then dessert. The entire thing was soo good and it was a VERY good price!!!!!! We had a blast there. Then we ended the night by saying goodbye to our friends, and we went home and crashed. We were stuffed. It was a great Valentines Day.

My dad just recently got us all into playing a card game called ''Rook''. It is definantly a Goodrich thing. The Goodrich's really seem to love playing that game. It is very addicting and great fun! Also we just learned how to play Rage which is just as fun. The best part is, Michael can play Rage and be on his own team. He's really great at i
t too! It is so cute to see Luchito and Michael get so into the game, even though they are really wiggly and have a hard time sitting still, you can tell they are concentrating hard on what to do next.
It was the last trick of our last round of Rage. We all got dealt one card, and we made our bids. Everyone bid Zero except for Ryan and Michael, they both bid one. Michael said "OH I know exactly what I'm doing!" The Trump was purple. My dad and I threw out our low cards, Ryan threw out a 15 green, Cherisse and Luchito both threw out their low cards. When it was Michael's
turn he looked at Ryan for a second and had a mischievous grin on his face. He threw down a Wild Rage and said with authority and confidence in his voice, "I want it to be 15 purple" (Which was the highest card) He surprised us all!!!! He won first place in that entire round! Good job Michael!!!
We all played Two rounds of Rage (which last a long time) My mom played for two tricks, then she went to bed. After Rage, Ryan, my dad, Cherry and I played Rook until 2:00 am! It was a whole lot of fun. What a great way to spend our day. I love the pictures of Michael he always made some pretty funny but very cute faces!
