A Memorable Date Night

Last Thursday was one of the funnest date nights we've had in a while! We decided to go out and splurge a little. We went to the Red Iguana, love that place! It is always really busy but the wait is worth it, the food is delicious.

After we took a walk since it was such a nice day. We walked off some of that food! Laid in the grass and talked about random things, and held hands, feeling how we did when we first met = )

Then we went to Leatherby's to get ice cream. I wanted a small fudge sundae and when I asked how big the Marion Fudge Sundae was, the server made it sound like it was a good medium sized sundae. When they brought it out it was almost as big as that banana split we ate a while ago!!! (its on an earlier post) There was no way I was eating that entire thing alone! I was already so full from dinner.

While we ate our ice cream we played thumb wars (cause we're cool like that) and the servers there were just smiling and laughing at us. It was highly fun and entertaining just playing thumb wars! Ryan kept cheating, but I couldn't beat him anyways so it was all good fun.

At the end of the night Ryan gave me a branch of little flowers = ) its hard to see in the picture but they are so pretty and it was a cute gesture.

I sure do love date night.

Me throughout the past 5 ish years

I'm addicted to dying my hair

I decided I'm addicted to getting "new looks" all thanks to Ashley!! She does such a great job that when I want to do something different, I just have to text her and ask when she has time and what she thinks about a new idea I have. She always gives great feedback!

I was looking at pictures the other day and I came across a few older ones and then pictures of my more recent hair experimenting. Thought it was interesting....so I'll share the pictures. They won't be new to Ashley though she's seen all my hairstyles = )

This first picture is me at 15
Graduation Pics at age 17!
More Graduation Pictures

Me at work, when I used to work as an Assistant Teacher at Discovery Academy at 18

Me during our engagement pictures in the winter of 2007

Ashley dyed my tips purple this time! In October! Not too long after I turned 19

Then two months later she cut it, dyed it, styled it very nicely!

Walla! In February Took off 5 inches in the front, 6 in the back! Love my new hair cut

All black hair for a little while
And my current hairstyle! A redish color on top and black on the bottom. I love love love it! Isn't my cousin so great???

So there you go from 15-19 a lot of changes I think! I like the new me =) Can you believe I'm getting close to being 20!?!?!

March Update

So I know I haven't blogged in a while. Nothing way exciting has been going on for me to blog or not anything that involves pictures. But I figured I'd give everyone an update in case they're wondering what's going on in my world lol.

Life is good, just really busy like always. I'm busy with work, and I'm preparing myself to start college at the end of May (hopefully things work out). I've been going over to my grandmother's house and typing up family history. It's really interesting to read and it's always fun to go over and visit with my grandma, and I always leave with a full belly! = )

We also finally got our taxes done yay! Our first year filing as married = ) I'm just glad we got that done and over with. Also we are filing a law suit against someone I'm looking forward to that muahaha. LOL. It's been exciting getting all the information together and I can't wait for the whole thing to be over with in our favor, (well lets hope, it better, I have faith.)

At the moment my current frustration is work. I work 4 10's, Wednesday through Saturday 4:30am-3:00pm. My boss informed me on Wednesday that I have to change my schedule to 7 on/7 off or switch departments, although he said it in somewhat nicer terms. I'm extremely frustrated because he mentioned it to the night technician a few months ago, and has just barely told me, and said that I have two weeks to make my decision.

I have a hard time waking up at 3 in the morning for four days straight, I can't imagine doing that for seven days in a row! Especially since I'll be going to night school, so I will get less sleep than I do now! Which is only about 4-5 hours ISH. A week off would be nice for school and so I can spend time with Ryan, but the week on would be crazy!!! Then again if I stay on 4 10's I will only have a 3-day weekend which I'll probably use up studying and doing homeowork and have no time for Ryan or my family. But then again I am only doing my generals so school won't be that hard. PLUS I'm supposed to get a promotion in July, and I really love my lab and what I do, and I'll be demoted for two months of I switch labs. We wrote down a pro's and con's list but it didn't help too much. So I'm really upset that I have to either transfer or make life extremely hard for myself!!! I'm in a rut I don't know what to do!

Decisions, decisions. They are so hard to make yet we make so many choices a day without even thinking. Now I'm stuck on what to do.

Other than this little bit of frustration, life is good like always. My dad's birthday was on Friday, hooray dad, although he doesn't like to celebrate lol. I think he had a good birthday. The baseball season has begun so the boys have started practicing. I will need to put a few pictures of them playing, they are so cute. Cherisse is a cute little teenager. She's very dedicated to her homework and studies I'm so proud of her. And Jessica is graduating soon!!! I'm so excited for her too. it is so hard to believe how fast they're growing up.

Well thats about it. Nothing real special and exciting about this month. Just that its been a good one. Until next time...

Cherisse's 13 Birthday

Ryan and I got Cherisse a blue I-pod Shuffle (that was on sale for $20) A little bell that had a butterfly on it, and a small black purse, big enough for the bell to fit in.
It took us about 30 minutes to wrap it....
Here are the pictures of Cherisse opening it:

It looks like its going to be something big....

I threw some shoes and some shirts in there to fill up the box

I told her to open this box first. Yes, that IS covered in duct tape

Duct tape is now off, time to open this box.....

This is what was found in duct tape covered box....time to unwrap it

Yay the bell and the purse! (bad picture you can't see the purse)

Now for present number 2

Hey look another box..!

more wrapping paper inside box...

Cherisse at this point says "Another box!?"

You can't tell in this picture, but its a small box inside the box. Its a ring box that we stuffed in

Ta Da! There's her I-pod shuffle and a little Happy Birthday note from me and Ryan.

The unwrapping portion of this long journey took much less time compared to the wrapping portion. Although I'm sure Cherisse didn't see it that way!

That night we also went to Chuck-a-rama for Cherisse's birthday.

February 28th, 2009 Cherisse turned 13 years old!!!!!!!!
I wasn't home that day I had long ago planned a trip to Idaho and Cherisse had told me she didn't mind as long as she got her present before her birthday. What a champ.
For her birthday she kept everyone busy. They went out to watch a movie, then out to dinner, then they went ice skating. Boy she really didn't want any cake or any singing going on!

Cherisse is so cute, I can't believe she's 13!
Happy Birthday!

Its been a hard two weeks

Last Saturday morning Kristy Batemen, age 18 died in a car accident.
I went to high school with her. I knew of her, but we were not close friends.

Last Saturday night, my friend Jesse Fankhouser age 19 got hit by a car, was had a seizure and was life flighted to the hospital. He has some brain damage, quite a bit of memory loss and horrible road rash. I'm grateful he is okay and that it wasn't any worse.

Last Wednesday Afternoon, my best friend Loren Waters Age 19 (This happened the day before her 19th birthday) was attending Snow College. She got in a car accident, the total impact of the accident was 140 miles per hour. Her seat belt and air bag saved her. She is extremely lucky to be alive. God was with her that day. Her wheel well broke her foot and ankle in three different places, her steering wheel was close to her foot as well, her dashboard was a foot away from her. I am very grateful she lived. I prayed and thanked God for keeping her safe.

Last Friday Morning, two sisters, Micah (21) and Shilo (19) Edwards, (two friends of mine from Jr. high and High School. Also attending Snow College, rooming together) Slid on black ice and into oncoming traffic. They were both killed instantly. They had been on their way home so Shilo and her Fiance could pick out an engagement ring. I attended their funeral yesterday. It was amazing how many people came to celebrate the lives of these two girls. They had touched the lives of many, many people. They will be missed by many.

My friend Loren actually got in an accident in the exact same place the Edwards girls did, just two days before, and it wasn't because of the weather.

Monday my family's beloved cat Licorice was hit by a car and killed. She was our cat for 11 years!! Such a sweet cat she was. She will be very missed.

I'm grateful my other two friends are okay. My heart is broken for the families of the girls who have been taken away from this life. Although they are now in a better place and have no worries like we do. I pray those families can heal and get through these trying times in one piece.

Valentines Day

The Consumer Holiday=Valentines Day =P
(well its true!)

Ryan and I weren't going to go out, especially since we did Christmas presents, and then our Anniversary last month. And we both see Valentines Day as just a consumer holiday. Nonetheless we ended up going out with my friend AJ and his girlfriend Kat.

It was the Sweethearts dance at Kat's school, and since AJ will be joining the Marines before her Prom, he was taking her to Sweethearts as if it was the Prom. She is new to her school this year and she wasn't looking forward to going to the dance, plus she had no group or anything so she didn't think they'd have much fun. I told her to go to the dance for an hour or so, and then to meet up with me and Ryan and we'd go out to dinner. I also let her borrow a dress.

So I got all dressed up and ready to go out to a nice dinner. =D
We met up at Gateway and we picked Biaggi's Italian Restaurant to eat at. It was delicious! We got appetizers, soup, our main course, and then dessert. The entire thing was soo good and it was a VERY good price!!!!!! We had a blast there. Then we ended the night by saying goodbye to our friends, and we went home and crashed. We were stuffed. It was a great Valentines Day.

Luchito's 10th Birthday

I've been slacking! Luchito's 10th Birthday was January 28th. We had a fun time. My mom bought a small birthday cake for the family. He is so cute, I can't believe he's 10 now!

I only took a few pictures. I was experimenting with my new phone, how you can put different borders around. There are Cherisse and Michael, Wanted for being so darn cute! We had a good time eating the delicious ice cream cake. That weekend, Luchito had a birthday party and my mom bought a humongous cake. Luchito also had a lot of fun. I'm not supposed to be calling him Luchito, he likes to go by Luis now, but I have a hard time remembering that! Pretty soon Cherisse's Birthday will be coming up, hopefully I won't take a month to put up the blog for that.

Our Anniversary!

January 21st, 2007 is the day Ryan and I became Boyfriend and Girlfriend.

January 21st, 2008 is the day Ryan and I became Husband and Wife.
January 21st, 2009 was the day we got to celebrate those wonderful events!!!!!

That night we went out to eat Sushi at our favorite sushi restaurant, Taoki Sushi 4 U. Which is also the place he took me out on our first date. The food was very delicious!!! We got Meso Soup for appetizers and Calamari Tempura, mmmm.
Then we got the Rainbow Roll (our personal favorite) The Playboy Roll (the waitress recommended it) and the King Roll (huge and delicious) Then they gave us small little dessert, (free!) they were very good! The first picture is the King Roll. It was so big we couldn't finish it since we started out with the playboy and rainbow roll, the second picture.

Then we got home and opened our cake that had been sitting in our freezer for a year. It also tasted very, very good!! Everyone I talked to that ate their cake on their one year said their cake just tasted frozen. What we did was put it in a cake box and Ryan wrapped it in 6 layers of plastic and 6 layers of tin foil. Then three days before our anniversary we stuck it in the fridge to thaw. It was yummy!
It took Ryan about 5-10 minutes to unwrap the cake!

Playing Cards

My dad just recently got us all into playing a card game called ''Rook''. It is definantly a Goodrich thing. The Goodrich's really seem to love playing that game. It is very addicting and great fun! Also we just learned how to play Rage which is just as fun.

The best part is, Michael can play Rage and be on his own team. He's really great at it too! It is so cute to see Luchito and Michael get so into the game, even though they are really wiggly and have a hard time sitting still, you can tell they are concentrating hard on what to do next.

It was the last trick of our last round of Rage. We all got dealt one card, and we made our bids. Everyone bid Zero except for Ryan and Michael, they both bid one. Michael said "OH I know exactly what I'm doing!" The Trump was purple. My dad and I threw out our low cards, Ryan threw out a 15 green, Cherisse and Luchito both threw out their low cards. When it was Michael's turn he looked at Ryan for a second and had a mischievous grin on his face. He threw down a Wild Rage and said with authority and confidence in his voice, "I want it to be 15 purple" (Which was the highest card) He surprised us all!!!! He won first place in that entire round! Good job Michael!!!

We all played Two rounds of Rage (which last a long time) My mom played for two tricks, then she went to bed. After Rage, Ryan, my dad, Cherry and I played Rook until 2:00 am! It was a whole lot of fun. What a great way to spend our day. I love the pictures of Michael he always made some pretty funny but very cute faces!
