For the Pits!
I saw online that this is the "season" for breeding. Which means that the shelters are going to be hit HARD with dogs and cats that need homes, which is tragic because right now all shelters are bursting at the seams with animals that need a home. I have also seen countless animals on KSL that are in need of a new home because their current owner can't/doesn't want to keep them. This sad news breaks my heart because they are innocent victims and just want a home and a family.
I saw the word "foster" and I knew I had to do it. I would love to foster more than one dog once we have home of our own. Of course we want to help foster Pit Bulls because they are one of the breeds that need the most help right now. Ryan and I are all for Pit Bulls (as everyone knows). Each year I yearn more and more for these dogs and I wish I could help. I kept finding excuses "I'm so busy!" or "I"m just way too tired with work and school!" Phooey! These are no longer good enough excuses. There are times I just sit around my house after cleaning up. I need to get my butt out there in my community and give to these dogs; they TRULY need it!
Now I am looking more into volunteering because it breaks my heart seeing all these animals that need a home and no one who wants them. I am signing up everywhere I can to volunteer. I know I will be busy with school but I can't help but sign up. Like I said I can't make anymore excuses. I will do what I can. It makes my heart warm to know I can do something! I want to help mostly with the rescue of Pit Bulls; but I am willing to help any animal in need.
If YOU are anyone you know are interested in fostering, adopting or volunteering PLEASE contact me and I will get you in touch with the right person. This is going to be one of the best experiences of my life I know it. These poor creatures are unfortunate enough to come across the most selfish animal on this planet; Humans. I'm not about to be one of them.
