My mom's birthday and Thanksgiving Dinner

Our Holiday Weekend

The 27th of November was not only Thanksgiving, b
ut it was my moms birthday as well! Ryan and my mom spent the entire day cooking, while my dad and the kids helped as much as they could with everything. I was working. My mom made a 16 pound turkey, a lot of stuffing, rice, rolls, 12 pies, some pumpkin some oreo and brownies. Ryan made a 22 pound turkey with a whole bunch of stuffing, some yams and some really good cranberry sauce he made from scratch. My dad and the kids made the mashed potatoes and I made juice when I got home haha I hardly helped. Dinner was huge!!! Yet very yummy! Just by looking at this picture you can see how much food we had! Almost every inch of the table was covered in food. This is a picture of everyone hanging out after our big dinner. Then after dinner my dad turned on my moms wedding video and we were watching for a little bit while digesting. While watching my parents wedding video Jessica said, without thinking "Why am I not in your wedding video!?!?" It was soo funny! And she also said "Wow dad you are so young you actually look handsome!" And everyone laughed at her again. She didn't mean for it to sound rude but it was funny anyways.

Then Jessica and I went out to the garage where we had stashed my moms birthday cake and placed the candles on that said Happy Birthday. She hadn't been expecting a birthday cake since there was already so much food and dessert. She laughed wh
en we came in with the birthday cake and all the lights were out. We sang her Happy Birthday in boring English. Once we sang it in Spanish it was much more lively and we clapped as we sang CumpleaƱos Feliz! After we had cake we gave my mom birthday cards and a few small gifts. We sure had a great Holiday, and my mom had a great birthday!
